Of note: they've stopped serving venison. Eggs Benedict with rosemary sweet potatoes on the side was great. They're pretty slow and the water filter takes forever to fill up. Acai bowls are average.
In Hawaii for my honeymoon and came across this restaurant. I can only wish that Toronto, Canada had a good quality place to eat just as this that was affordable. The food tastes amazing, it's healthy and reasonably priced. To all you health conscious people out there this is the place for you.
I'm not one to write a bad review ever, but I felt I needed to share bc it was one too many bad experiences. I've loved supporting this restaurant because it's local, organic, & in my neighborhood. But the food is extremely inconsistent. I was excited for the new venison burger on the menu and have ordered it at least 3 times. The first time, it was delicious. But the last two were barely edible. The meat was so unbelievably dry and overcooked. At this point I'm pretty sure it is microwaved. On top of that, half my salad greens were rotting and the garlic dressing very sparse. I would have sent it back but had ordered to-go and driven somewhere else by the time i realized. This is in addition to other orders from the past that have also been inconsistent. Sorry... want to support local business but please get it together in the kitchen.
Honolua Acai bowl was amazing and healthy, I really enjoyed it for breakfast alternative. I feel better and fully of energy!
It is nice to have an option for healthy food in UpCountry. And as much as I love the food here, 8 out of 10 times that I visit I have a less than positive experience. The last time I went there I waited 35 minutes for my venison eggs benedict. Once I got it there was a hair in my potatoes. And the person who sat next to me at the community table got his food a few minutes after me and also found a hair in his potatoes. Other than the hair in the potatoes, the food here is really good. The staff have gotten a bit better. There are a couple that are good but for the most part the service is really lacking here
